Exciting research opportunities

As an undergraduate, you could be involved in hands-on research on exciting projects in our research labs, alongside graduate students, providing you with a solid experiential foundation when you graduate. Check out our undergraduate research opportunities.

Excellent reputation of our school and faculty

EECS faculty members are Fellows of ACM, IEEE, OSA, APS, Materials Research Society and AAAS. Several are chaired faculty, and nineteen of our assistant faculty members have received PYI, NYI or CAREER awards from the National Science Foundation.  Two of our emeritus faculty have been elected to the National Academy of Engineering.

Several degree programs

Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE), or Computer Science (CS), Weinberg B.A. in Computer Science, and a concurrent BS/MS or BS/MA degree for both McCormick and Weinberg students.

Interdisciplinary research with schools and faculty across campus

Kellogg School of Management, music, linquistics, arts & sciences, communications, economics, psychology, transportation center, education and social policy, earth and planetary sciences, as well as within the Engineering school: biomedical engineering, physics, IE/MS, and many more. Management for Scientists and Engineers Program

The Graduate School is collaborating with the Kellogg School of Management to offer a certificate program taught by Kellogg School faculty that will equip promising doctoral students with the necessary business and leadership skills.
