EECS's Joshua Lawrence is GEM Fellow of the Year

Congrats to JJoshua Lawrence, GEM Fellow 2012 oshua Lawrence, master's candidate in EECS, who was awarded first place in the Masters Level Technical Presentation Competition held at the GEM Conference in San Francisco, CA on August 3, 2012.  

Joshua presented his masters project and research entitled "Investigating and Reproducing Brachiating Motions by Means of Mechatronics and Control Theory" among presenters from several universities, and received the distinction of GEM Fellow of the Year.  

Julian Corona, incoming first-year MS student in electrical engineering and computer science, is also among the current GEM fellows. 
 
Bruce Lindvall, Assistant Dean at McCormick, serves on the GEM Executive Board and is the Northwestern University representative to GEM.
