Nocedal awarded 2010 Charles Broyden prize

Jorge NocedalJorge Nocedal has been awarded the 2010 Charles Broyden prize for the paper ‘On the geometry phase in model-based algorithms for derivative-free optimization, co-authored with G. Fasano and J.L. Morales. The prize was established by the Editorial Board of Optimization Methods and Software (OMS) and the publisher, Taylor & Francis and is awarded yearly for the best paper published in OMS.
