Faculty position available at Loyola University Chicago’s new Engineering Science program for undergrads, which will teach one section of ENGR 101 Introduction to Engineering Design for the fall, 2015 semester. ENGR 101 and all other courses in the curriculum will incorporate active learning techniques. Since this course will be coordinated by the Director of Engineering Science, with the other two sections taught by new professors, this position is a great opportunity to obtain teaching experience before applying for tenure track positions.

Engineering Science will begin to offer its BS Engineering Science degree in fall of 2015, and plans to seek ABET accreditation in fall of 2019. ENGR 101 is a 4 credit hour course, which meets for 2 hrs each on M, W, F, from August 24 to December 7, 2015. Solidworks instruction is a core part of this course. A Ph.D. in Engineering is preferred, but all applicants with at least an M.S. in Engineering will be considered. Proficiency in Solidworks is required.
