Attendees are advised to stay in the congress hotel, the San Francisco Marriott. For directions to the hotel, please see the Transportation Information page.

The special hotel rate of $129.00 per night, plus 14% tax, (for IFAC Attendees) is for the room, with one or two persons in occupancy, and applies during the period of June 27 to July 6. There is a $20.00 per night additional charge per person for a third and fourth person (beyond age 18) sharing the room.

• No rooms have more than two beds permanently installed
• The hotel can add one rollaway bed to any room (no more because of fire code)
• Rollaways can be requested with the reservation but are not guaranteed - they are assigned on a first-come, first served basis (the hotel claims that they don't often run out of them, but there is no guarantee)
• There is a maximum of 5 people allowed per room (regardless of number of beds)

Room Sharing. Hotel rooms in the San Francisco area are quite expensive and it is difficult to find reasonable accommodation for less than the above rate. A way to reduce hotel expenses is to share the room with another congress participant. Those needing assistance in finding a room-mate should send an e-mail to roommates@ece.orst.edu with (1) name (2) gender (3) dates at congress (4) smoking/nonsmoking (5) e-mail address. This information will be compiled into lists by gender and distributed by e-mail to those on the list, every two weeks, starting March 1st. Each person will then be responsible for selecting room-mates and making hotel arrangements.
