Hi, I am a very nice girl. I love travel, sports, music, movies, singing, etc.
TRAVEL: I travel a lot. Whenever I am free, I must go out to have a trip. Those beautiful scenery and various customs excite me so much that each time I take a lot of photos to keep all the unforgettable moments.
- New! Chicago: The third biggest city in United States, a great city! I stayed there for more than six years. Although it is super cold and windy in winter, it is beautiful and nice in summer. Buildings in downtown Chicago are very modern and unique. I'd like to call it my second home town, where I learned so much, finished my education, made so many friends. The most highlight part is that I was in Northwestern University, one of the top universities in the United States with the most beautiful campus.
- New! Vancouver, Canada: This is my sencond visit to Vancouver. I threw myself into the sea of flowers -- Buchart Garden. Absolutely, it is the best place for people to live in North America! So peaceful! Whistler is the best snow mountain in North America, which reminds me the mountains in Switzerland. I am also impressed by the huge shopping malls around. If you are looking for the best Asian food, it is easy, just go to Vancouver.
- New! Yellowstone: The world's first National Park, harbors not only the greatest concentration of geothermal features in the world, but also sustains the greatest wildlife populations in North America. Join with me to explore the falls, the canyons, the geyser, and the hot springs. Welcome to this natural wonderland!
- New!Hi, friends! I finally graduated! Let's share the happiness. I look very good in the gown and cap, right?
- Boston: A small city rich in culture. Freedom Trail tells you the two and a half centuries of America's most significant past. The most highlight part of the city is the most prestigious colleges, Harvard and MIT, with romantic Charles River winding through...
-
New York: What a magnificant city it is! Times Square, Fifth Avenue, Park Avenue, Wall Street, Soho... Empire State Building, United Nations, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Central Park really strike me... Especially, the Broadway Show. I also enjoyed a lot of delicious food from various countries. Well, to survive in New York is full of challenges.
- Florida: I have been there twice. Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, and Sea World made me forget to go back to the real world. The shamus in SeaWorld really rock America. Hope to enjoy the tropical sunshine at Key West soon!
- Wisconsin: Wisconsin is really a green world. Probably it is the best place for people to relax. I went there for a couple of times. We enjoyed camping and white water rafting in Wolf River near Door County. Rafting is really exciting, plus some guys dropped into the falls.
- Hawaii: Tropical paradise! Trip to Hawaii is the memories that last for a lifetime. The sunshine on Waikiki Beach on O'ahu is so warm, and the Hawaiian Natives' art show is so exotic. On Big Island, for the first time in my life, I saw the real volcano crators and lava which reminds me the great power of nature. On Maui, the magic island, there are so many stunning sites to see, and so many amazing attractions waiting for you to explore. Wherever you go, "Aloha" is always around you. Hawaii people are always enthusiastic and friendly to visitors from all over the world.
- France: Believe me or not, I had a one-week trip to the GREAT country -- France. The grandeur of the centuries' old churches and museums, statues, paintings, arts and the food deeply striked me. Taking a cruise on the Seine, my face was nicely touched by the spring breeze with the fresh smell of the river. Thanks to my friend who spent a lot of time leading me around
Paris. Nice gave me the first smell of spring after a long long freezing cold winter in Chicago. The palms, the sunshine, the beach and the blue Mediterranean Sea made me so confused that I am not sure if I am in the Heaven or in the real world. Can you imagine how happy I was when a couple of handsome guys trying to make friends with me while I was walking alone on the beach? Haha, it is really fun to play with them. Definitely, France is the culture center and romance center of the world.
- Monaco: What a small kingdom! People go there just for sightseeing and gambling. People in the Casino are so rich that only Ferrari can park right in front of it. You can never know how good people can make use of their land until you visit Monaco.
- Indiana: Unlike Chicago, it is so quiet and peaceful. People there are so friendly and closed.
- South Carolina: Great contrast to New York, it is so quite, peaceful and warm. Especially the small town, Charleston, so cozy along the Atlantic Ocean. It keeps a lof of old buildings from South and North War.
- Toronto, Canada: One of the best cities for Chinese to live in North America, very modernized and clean. You can find any Chinese food you like, any Chinese commodity you want. The most impressive part is Central Island, which is extremely beautiful and quite. The Queen Street is very attractive to girls.
- Montreal, Canada: It is richer in culture than Toronto. It hosted the 1976 Olympics. At Old Port, there are a lot of European stylized buildings. Also, I was strongly attracted by Indian handicrafts there.
- Washington DC: Right after my project presentation at NASA, Maryland, I took the train directly to the National Mall. What I have to say after the short trip is that it is really a cultural center.
- Niagara Falls: It does deserve its reputation, the greatest fall of the world. I spent a whole day to enjoy the beauty of this wonder of nature.
- Los Angeles: The city is so spread out that times larger than Chicago. The sunshine, the beach, the palms and Hollywood excited me very much.
- San Francisco: I visited "Silicon Valley" twice in 2000 and 2001. Not only those computer companies, but also the mild climate and beautiful scenery gave me a deep impression. People there are working much harder than I imagined in order to achieve their dreams to be millionaires.
SPORTS: I
have been practicing Chinese martial art
from childhood. I was a four duan martial art athlete before I came to United States. In my memory, I spent most of my spare time in practice with my teammates in that old gym. There remains the unforgettable memory of my best friends whom I have not contacted for a long time. I am good at stick, as well as wide sword and Shaolin fisting. I gained eight championships in Wushu Competition of Beijing in the past years. I love it, not because it brought me pride, but rather because it taught me how to deal with hardship, how to be a person.
MUSIC: I like melodies, soft rocks, Chinese folk music and Chinese pops. They are my best companies whenever I am alone. Singing is one of my favorite entertainments in daily life. My favorite singers are Wong Faye, Valen Hsu, Cai Qin, Tian Zhen, etc..
Essays: I like reading elegant and graceful essays and poems by contemporary writers. They can always express my feelings which are beyond my words.
MOVIES: I love movies, especially action movies starred by Bruce Lee, Jacky Chan or Jet Li, probably because I learned Chinese martial art. Believe me or not, I saw most of their movies, even times for each one, such as Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon, Jet Li's Shaolin Temple, Kids from ShaoLin, Fearless, Jackie Chan's Police Story, Project A, Rush Hour, Shanghai Noon, The Myth, etc..
